Real-world application of the Path Not Traveled methodology: From Hospitality to Logistics.
Operations Manager & Community Engineer
The Vision
Scaling a "Multicultural Literary Lounge" from a neighborhood staple to a multi-location franchise.
The Challenge
Opening the University location "dry" (no liquor license) in a high-volume market.
Faced with a regulatory bottleneck, we pivoted from a bar-first model to a community-anchor model. We implemented Human Capital Development by creating the "Hookah Specialist" role—turning servers into brand ambassadors—and focused on Resource Optimization by developing pairing menus to move stagnant inventory.
The Result
MARTA Operator & Uber Diamond Driver
The Scope
Bridging the gap between Mass Transit systems and Gig-Economy flexibility.
My experience operating for MARTA taught me the rigidity of safety and mass schedules, while becoming a Diamond Driver for Uber taught me the agility of the gig economy. I used the Uber platform not just for income, but as a live case study—analyzing algorithm failures, route optimization, and using the flexibility to fund my return to business school.
The Insight
MARTA had community but lacked flexibility; Uber had flexibility but lacked community. This gap is the foundation for our next venture.
Launching 2026 • A Path Not Traveled Company
Load Off is the synthesis of our hospitality and logistics experience. It is a Community-Sourced Laundry Marketplace designed to connect customers, local laundromats, and community couriers. We are building a system that offers the speed of the gig economy with the trust of a local neighbor.
